Our Cherry tree in the front yard was in full bloom and the Cardinals loved hanging out in the branches. In order to shoot this image, I had to open a window facing the tree, remove the screen, and set up the tripod inside the house (for ‘cover’) with camera ready to go. I’d monitor the set-up periodically through the day and shoot when the birds were cooperative. After a long few days, and taking a number of images, I arrived at this one.

Cherry Cardinal is printed on Aluminum creating a stunning, vibrant, and contemporary piece. The dye sublimation process embeds the photo directly into a specially coated aluminum sheet using heat, time, pressure, and special inks.
