Rest of the Story…

On an very cold day in January, we went to the lake in Huntley Meadows in Virginia. I was intrigued by the rhythm and symmetry of the dried plants in the lake. In photoshop, I used the invert (negative) filter to bring some color into my cold, gray-day, gray-water image.

Water Sparks is printed on a Aluminum creating a stunning, vibrant, and contemporary piece. The sculptural S-curve brings an added drama and fluidity. The dye sublimation process embeds the photo directly into a specially coated aluminum sheet using heat, time, pressure, and special inks.
